The second photo doesn't enlarge, so I can't read what's on the back. but just looking at the front looks like some Indian or Asian symbol.

I don't recognize this dui or unit crest-- it is harder to find since it doesn't have a motto.

Some thoughts on the symbols-- the crossed "swords" look more like scimitars, so I would look at units that fought in the middle east at some point (N. Africa in WW2/ Persian Gulf Command?)-- the single star would seem to be taken from that region as well.

Tube is right, that is what's written on the back.. Thanks Scott, I looked there, and will look again.. Thanks all for the help.

The crossed knives are Kukri from Nepal.

These are stylized so could be; however, most of the kukri that I have seen don't have a pronounced cross guard as shown on these.

A scimitar would have a curved blade and a cross guard. There are many other weapons from the region that may be a fit as well.

Thanks slackjack.. I'm looking all over the place, for anything to help ID this unit.. The blue red blue sections have to mean something too. The shape of the crest, is odd also. I have looked at so many, don't recall finding one the same shape..

Thanks to everyone helping me with this..

Another avenue to explore: the crest is Japanese Occupation/ Korean War era based on the Tokyo markings.

May want to look at Japanese Occupation Divisions subordinate units. The Divisions there for a while were 7th Infantry, 24th Infantry Division, 25th Infantry Division and the 1st Cavalry Division.

I just got an email from the US Army Quartermaster Museum and here is what they told me. The crest is the 75th Infantry Regiment, On a blue shield a red pale charged with a star above 2 machetes, all silver and curved silver tusks. Hoping this will help.

Thank you everyone for helping me out on this..

Zippo-- that link is for the 75th RANGER Regiment.

Pretty sure the QM Museum was talking about the 75th Infantry Regiment.
