Found this Vintage Tricycle at a pre-estate sale, the price was right so I bought it.
Looking to see if anyone knows the Manufacture, Model, and year this was made. Nothing to be found on the tricycle to identify it.
I believe it's post World War II.
Any info would be very much appreciated!
I was thinking more 60's
Thanks, I am not sure on the 60's, but I am not an expert by any means, I am 58 and just don't remember the smaller diameter handlebars even when I was a kid. I am thinking earlier than the 60's and hope for more info.
Looking over this tricycle again and again, you could be right. I have had several people look at it, and they seem to think very late 50's to early 60's. No one has yet identified it yet as far as manufacture, and model. Still waiting on someone with far more expertise to educate me.
i have a silver rider fire engine No 5 tricycle that has a steering wheel instead of handle bars also have lakeshore low rider tricycle with steering wheel. does anyone know if they are worth anything?
I am not familiar with that model dee, I am thinking a cycle shop, or a shop that restores cycles would be your best to get an appraisial. I don't want to give you a value on something I'm not qualified to be giving
Giving my thoughts as a tricycle collector. Based on the seat/seat post, handlebar, and rear step plate design, this tricycle dates to the mid 1920s to mid 1930s. Without the head badge it's hard to positively ID the manufacturer as a few different companies made similarly designed trikes. Though I can't pinpoint the exact year, this tricycle is definitely pre-WWII, particularly if the tires are held on the rims by a center twisted wire. After WWII, the tires would be semi-pneumatic solid tires.
