I found this beautiful little hatchling yesterday on a shopping expedition. Its feet are damaged with one broken (but the piece was carefully wrapped in tissue paper and placed inside the body). I believe this meant a lot to someone. I really love the beauty of the mold. I have my chick with a couple of bisque bunnies on a shelf in my office, just waiting for springtime!

I have been breeding birds for years and I love anything bird related. This is a bit unique which makes it all the more fun. Don't worry about the damage, I have live rescue birds with the same problem. I am sure this had meaning to the original owner. One leg birds and cripple birds just need special accommodations and they do fine.
