    UPDATE 98% removed watermarks!!
Used Isopropyl alcohol, which I would never normally take to wood furniture, ever. Applied nightly, for 3 days, using a soft cloth and light rubbing. Im sure it dried it out pretty good, so I'll apply some kind of oil to refresh it.

Ferguson occasional table with beautiful twisted legs and pie crust top.
So, if one were to own this treasure, why on earth would you not use a coaster!??!
Now it is mine, and I face some choices. First I will try a few "solutions" I've seen online to at least lessen the watermarks.
I'm not looking for perfection, I enjoy the personality of the piece. If anyone has a tried and true fix, let me know. Next option is to take the top down to bare, and try to match the base. With the lack of originality traded for a nice shiny top.
    Any thoughts appreciated, as always!
    Mike

I'd be most curious to eventually learn what sort of luck you might get (or not get) with the repair "solutions" or methods -- here's hoping you don't have to re-do the wh0le top! (which looks to be in nice shape otherwise)

AnythingObscure, no luck on almost everything. Although isopropyl alcohol made them slightly lighter. Not enough to notice really.

      Try Old English Scratch Cover.

Well give this a try, it won't hurt your table a bit. Mix some baking soda into a paste, like pancake batter. Then use a clean soft cotton cloth or a very soft bristle toothbrush to clean the water marks. I had this problem with marks from ice tea on a table. Tea contains acid and baking soda neutralizes acid. Then rinse it with water and let it dry, the grain should raise so it feels like whisker stubs. Use 4 ought (0000) steel wool and mineral spirits and gently rub it out. That is the finest steel wool and it will feel very soft but that is what you want so you don't damage the surface.

PS: Clean with the grain of the wood back and forth, never against the grain.
