My father was a bricklayer in Chicago. Years ago he brought this lamp home. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

These swag lamps used to be very popular and they enjoyed a revival in the late 60's and early 70's, love them !~
Circa 1915 Pendant Light with a Halophane shade (upper ribbed part). This is a unique one with the bottom glass diffuser. The Halophane shades are sometimes marked and or dated. Welcome to CW.
No offense to rocker-sd, but this is not Holophane (note spelling). Holophane made commercial industrial (schools, libraries, buildings, public works). This is not of a style they would produce back then (I have a few of my own). If I had to date it, more like 70’s- that is when Holophane copy cats we prevalent. During its heyday, first half of 20th century, they would have never allowed a copycat to go on without legal action.
