This is my favorite piece by Scitarelli (aka M. & S. Mfg of Providence RI), a fifties designer with original flair. The 2 1-2" goldtone brooch is in an anthurium bouquet design, with ruby red pear shape rhinestones in the flowers, below which are scattered small square white & one red rhinestone. This says "be my valentine" to me
Unusual cuts for the stones, which I love !~
I agree with you about the stone cuts Phil, they make the brooch unusual and sort of abstract
Ken, I too think it's more subtle than flashy, it has a wrapped long stem flowers look, dya think?
Thank you all for loving this
