I've been trying to figure out the maker and maybe age of this little cup and saucer.
I looked at 100's of marks online but could not find this one.
Any info about this Item would be greatly appreciated.
It has the words Made In so it is post tariff act. That makes it 30's or newer. I would expect post WWII.
The mark is Bremer & Schmidt
The number 13 is the series number. This could be 1940's all the way to 1972.
awesome, thanks for the insights !
On the contrary, there is Made in Nippon stuff, and as most of us know... They couldn't call it Nippon after the early 1920s.
SpiritBear the COO mark is post 1931. The trademark is Bremer & Schmidt. Look it up. Where does Nippon 1920 fit in? You lost me with that post.
You said "Made In" dates it to after 1931, but there are known examples of 1910s Made In items, best understood in Nippon, but seen also in porcelain makers that were out of business by 1930. I was just clarifying that it doesn't always mean post-1930 in porcelain. Maybe on other items it does.
