This unusual lamp is a favorite of mine. It has rams heads, claw feet, ornate design and a reddish/Amber glass ball as a finial.it appears to be some type of resin. The finish is gilt yet it has undertones of red and green on the feet. It has a mark that looks like” H 1 (a copy right sign) C o”.
The cord is ancient. Any ideas of origin or style?
Mine is 1900-195. Is mahogany. Red copper ball top, 4 lights like yours. Was covered in black laquer, removed all of it professionally. Gorgoreous goregous like yours!!! Antique dealer offered me $4,000 in 1986, but is family piece and I wont sell/ Dont you just LOVE yours??? All the design looks like leather but it is the hand tooling of the wood. What kind of shade can you see on yours??
