PHOTO ONE POSTCARD is also 1909 and by a collectible artist CARMICHAEL..
."I LOVE MY WIFE BUT OH YOU KID" Looks like a lucky fellow who remembered to bring his umbrella now has an opportunity to keep a pretty girl warm, dry and cozy and maybe he hopes she will take him home and make him a
cup of tea or a.hot toddy..before he serenades "I Love My Wife But Oh You Kid"
PHOTO TWO SHEET MUSIC "I Love My Wife But Oh You Kid"------Well, the hubby does sneak off every day with a cutie or two---but little does he suspect He goes OUT the same door the BUTCHER comes IN a few minutes after. Comic song of 1909 for which Harry Von Tilzer wrote the music.,,,,,UGLY cover is the only one I have. but a pretty one came out the same year I believe, a close up of a lovely woman in pink fluff.
What a great song title! That expression "you kid" was used by men for their "chippies" even years later, just saw one of M. Monroe's fifties pix where her older "uncle" called her that lol
