Or at least that's what I tend to use 'em for, anyway??
One is a small (about 7" long overall) yellow ceramic 'skillet', rather obviously a touristy souvenir item from New Orleans. It came from a junk store recently because it was cheap, it matches my kitchen countertops, and I still wanna visit New Orleans one of these days. ;-) :-) It still has a little tag on its bottom reading MADE IN JAPAN, plus the remains of a (1970's-80's vintage?) price tag from whatever store it first came from. [does anybody recognize what's left of the store name on the tag? looks like it started with a big W??]
The other kinda oblong dish is made of smoked (I think?) glass, with a curious sorta mirrored finish which is nonetheless also somewhat translucent. (reminds me of "infinity mirrors"??) I don't honestly remember exactly where I got it (most likely another junk store) but I've probably had it for nearly 30yrs. There are no marks on it whatsoever.
Thanks bunches to Brunswick, TassieDevil, Caperkid, aura, and fortapache for sharing your <love>! :-) :-) :-)
