Would anyone happen to know May LeSan, doll maker, whose museum quality dolls I inherited? I know she did costumes for the Zeigfeld Follies as her daughter, Leola Harlow was one of them. The dolls are all hand made of silk with French lace, some with real hair and other beautiful materials. Her gnomes were used as good luck charms for pilots in WWII and she sold to Saks in the 1950's and other shops on the Upper East Side of New York. Their clothes, as beautifully made as they are, can't compare to the dolls expressions and character. They are really special and I'm curious to know more about them. Thank you.
