    I believe this is a circa early 1960s Guard badge for Winthrop Labs of Rensselaer, New York. Winthrop was the pharmaceutical company responsible for creating the famous anabolic steroid known as Winstrol. The badge is numbered 4 and has the Seal of State of New York in relief at its center.
