I found these two pieces, which I believe are from a large oil lamp, in the grounds of a church built in 1868 in Brisbane, Australia.
Hopefully you can help me with some questions.

What type of lamp is it from?
    How old is it?
Who made it, and where was it made?
    Anything else?

The people in the congregation are particularly interested because this year is the church’s 150th anniversary.

Is there writing on knob? That is where manufactures marking's normally are.
