I have collected postcards for years. This past week I noticed this French postcard felt thicker than normal. I noticed the top was slightly open and I carefully pulled out a small note, there was also a piece of stiff cardstock that I think originally partly went into a slot on the front of the card, I had not noticed. Curious if this was a way to include a private message, before the divided back cards?
Probably a way to send a letter without being charged for a letter. Postcards cost less to send (in America, 1 penny). I'd assume it worked the same in France.
Very cool. What does the note say?
