Looks like mahogany. Scale markings are about 37/64" apart. Very useful for measuring or accurately creating slightly sloping surfaces, once user has calculated degrees relative to the markings. Shown it to a few people and none of us have ever seen anything like this, as simple an idea as it is. I paid £30 for it although it's likely worth alot more. Currently in daily, careful use ;) Any information much appreciated.
