Here is a vintage Pan Am Boeing B-314 Clipper from 1938. The model is cast aluminum and the stand is cast iron. These were used by travel agencies, Pan Am offices or at ticket counters. Wingspan of the model is 12.5" so is perfect for a bookshelf or mantle. The last shot shows the model with another Boeing product, a B-17D in the same scale. The B-314 was actually a large aircraft utilizing the wing design from their B-15 bomber prototype.
Great planes!

Interesting to see the size comparison and yes great planes.
I agree, the comparison shows the scale well.
Very stylish model, nice stripe!!!
Out of interest, why was there a sorta dummy nacelle over the cabin? Just style, or was it for aerodynamics?
If you mean the bump in the orange stripe on top of the fuselage? That was the location of the navigator's dome for using his sextant. Tom
