I've had this vase in storage for quite some time no. I decided when I moved to get rid of some of my old stuff so I added this vase to social media and got lots of hits. I was only asking for $10 so I decided to take the listing off so I could do some research on it. All I really have found out is that it's a Japanese ginger jar and I have found lots of similar cases but none are the one I have. Does this mean that I have a one of a kind or that it's a fake...I have no idea. So I just kept searching and I found this sight. If anyone has any insight they can share I would be very grateful.

Go right to the bottom of this link and look at the marks under the heading “Seto Porcelain- Yamahiro Toen”

I’m not any kind of expert so I can’t say much more, but hope that helps :-)

This is modern. The Japanese marks are most likely the shop or studio. The 5A is a placement position
