This should be interesting, I have no idea what it came from. I have had this so long I forget when I actually got it. I do know it washed up on the Atlantic shore in NJ after a storm. I think it is a lower jaw bone from the shape but I never saw a fish with this type dental work. I don't now and never have collected jaw bones but I wonder who the original owner was? Are jaw bones even a collectible? Hell, I don't even know why I saved it. I guess to paint a picture on or carve and seal it. Anybody know the original owner?

Cool find fhr ! looks like it has had a few root canals :-) I have no idea what animal it is from but surely look old as I never saw teeth so decomposed?
It had to be a land animal that ate hard food I would think .
I wish i could help it is totally hard to say what type of species it is very interesting find and very old

I would think that it looks like a portion of a wild boar jaw bone.
