I found this at the state sale today. I recognize it is being some kind of large metal plaque it was hidden in the corner and nobody really noticed it .. at first I thought it was a painting. Then I walked up to it and discovered it was metal and realize it was etched metal. I got it at a discount so I took a chance and bought it.. I thought that maybe I’ll post it on here and see if anybody recognizes the size of it is 74 “x 28“ and weighs a ton.. it was designed to be hung on the wall and made of brass patinaed blue green and other colors with etchings of what appears to be water buffalo and people running in it.. i could not find a signature...so Im Posting it here in hopes of someone recognizing it...sorry for the dark pic. It’s a tough one to photo correctly.
Really interesting piece! Love it. I hope someone will be able to help.
Thanks I do too hope my wall can take the weight... :0
Well. just in case, perhaps you should send it over to me... all our interior walls are brick. I promise to take good care of it. :D
:0. It would look nice on brick for sure
Unfortunately, the brick isn't exposed. But the plaque will still look super here :)
(If you do manage to hang it, will you post a photo? It would be great to see what it looks like on a wall. Such a fabulous piece!)
:0. Did some research.. the art work has a Asian theam as well as the antiqued bronze patina..resembles the ancient Asian bronzes. it’s some sort of metal brass or white metal. Definitely acid etched and the frame was a expensive Custom order..
Will do thanks
