From the same op shop as the preceding Kralik vase, came this Victorian stoppered bottle several years ago. It is made from two layers of cased glass, pink over a white interior. Including the stopper, it measures 25.2 cm tall, 5.5 cm across the top of the crenelated stopper, & 8.3 cm across the base, which does not have a pontil mark. There are traces of gilding on the edges of the crenelations on the stopper.
I found the stopper first - it had been separated from the bottle, which turned up on a different shelf.
I believe it to be most likely of Bohemian origin. That distinctive shade of "strawberry pink" glass is seen on many Victorian era vases, usually decorated with enameled floral sprays...also seen on pairs of mantel lustres.
