These two black marble clocks table top clocks were also manufactured by Whitehall - Hammond, which was a partnership between Whitehall Jewelers and Hammond Clocks although the partnership was short lived they produced some of the most opulent clocks of the Art Deco period and the Hirsch figures were the Icing on the cake. These clocks were not cheap back then which led to their demise during the Depression. Both companies survived The Great Depression, we know Whitehall Jewelers as Kay Jewelers, and while they quite producing clocks in 1941, Laurens Hammond's became Hammond Organ which he invented. These Whitehall - Hammond Clocks led to my interest in J. B. Hirsch items.
