I found these two works at a local antiques mall. I fell in love with them at first sight. One is "The Watchfull [sic] Fox 1" and the other is entitled "Fox 4." They look to be pen and ink or watercolors or a combination of these mediums, perhaps, and they're both marked as artist's proofs. The artist's name looks to be O'Meyer, but I cannot be certain, and I've searched and searched online for this artist, for his or her work, to no avail.

Very beautiful fox pictures Laura, #1 is my favorite and love the title, he is watchful of those hunters on horseback lol
Thank you, Jenni! Much appreciated! What part of NY are you in?
I'm in Hyde Park, north of Poughkeepsie and south of Rhinebeck.
These are WONDERFUL!! I love foxes anyway and would no have hesitated in buying these. Just wonderful!!!
Hi Laura, I'm in Suffolk County, eastern Long Island. Today it's raining "cats & dogs" here, but pretty mild temps this winter overall - dreary days tho, I hope the groundhog was wrong & Spring comes early
Thank you so much, Scott. Much appreciated!
Jenni, we've been getting the cats and dogs here as well. So much rain and the temperatures aren't warming too much yet. Can't wait for spring, and, better still, summer.

These are very beautiful and I do not know what the fox say, but you really scored two treasures here, magnifique !~
Great fox artwork! A very nice find.:)
There's been a red fox hanging around my property lately. It's big bushy tail appears bigger than the rest of him. He has a "bark" that sounds like a lady screaming...freaks out my house cat....
Haha, Phil. Love it. Remember that? That was so big. My then 11 year-old son (who's now 16) was walking around listening to that. Thank you for the kind compliments. I am so glad you like them.
Buckethead, so glad you like them. Thank you for the love. We had a beautiful female visiting us daily, every morning around the same time. She would appear on the side of our house and move up toward a small pond in the back of our property before moving down to stand by our deck railing, peering through the slats at us sitting at the dining room table.
She would then travel up and over a small rise behind our house toward our neighbors'. We surmise that perhaps she was getting food for a den of kits somewhere nearby. She ceased visiting so we hope she moved on to greener pastures and/or her babies grew to be more self-sufficient.
We did hear a fox scream one night when she was in the area. Don't know if it was her scream or a male's scream, but yes, it does sound like a woman screaming, so much that I almost called 911 until we figured out what it was. It is incredibly eerie and unsettling, isn't it?
Yes....it certainly is :)
