    I picked this dish up years ago at a thrift store and am wondering if anyone knows exactly what it's used for. The bottom part measures 6 1/4" by 4 3/4" and the cover measures 4 3/4" by 3 1/4" with one end a 1/2" taller than the other. No markings anywhere on this item.

      Most likely it’s a dish for cheese. I thought perhaps a butter dish, but it seems somewhat large.
