These I bought has a pair, the ring is definitely Bernard Instone as I’ve seen the design before but I’m not sure of the brooch. The Cornelian stone in the ring is a wonderful colour, when the sun hits the stone the colour is stunning, it’s a simple design but looks lovely on. The brooch could be Bernard Instone but I was thinking it might be earlier, definitely art and craft in design. I’m not sure of the green stone could be Agate the stone is an emerald green with lighter stripes running through it also could be glass.

    Many thanks for looking

Beautiful rings - maybe the green stone is chrysoprase, this is a very popular stone these days & I just learned about it myself, but could be wrong

Hi Judy, I’m glad you like them, it’s interesting they both have closed backs so I’m presuming they are early Instone pieces. As I said in my write up that I’m not sure if the brooch is Instone I’m thinking it could be earlier maybe one of the guilds. Thank you for passing by.

Haha, I was watching those! Glad to see they went to someone I "know". They caught my eye because the brooch reminded me of the Bernard Instone brooch that I got from my Grandma. The surround is more intricate on yours though. Not sure what the green stone is but I don't think it's chrysophase, it tends to be darker green and not as opaque or banded as that one. Beautiful brooch and ring!

      Hi pebble,
So you were watching the auction, lol. I’ve seen the ring before so I know it’s B.I has I said in my write up I’m not sure on the brooch, it could be B.I. Its extremely well made.
As for the stone I was thinking jade but I’m not sure, I think your right Chrysoprase is a darker colour the other option is glass. Really appreciate your comment, thanks again for the link.

I adore that brooch Jean, whether it's Instone or not. Perfect design, great stone.
