Multi Glass at times have made some big pieces of glass, and this is one. At 45cm (18in) it is a dominant piece in the room at present.
The mix of amber and green glass in the centre of the vase is actually the result of blue and amber glass mixing, and if you look carefully at the base of the vase there is a remnant of blue glass remaining.
The thick clear external case has been pulled into three flat wings and twisted, so the final shape is like an impeller. The lip has also been pulled into three very Multi Glass peaks.
I can't reliably date this but I think possibly around the 1980s.
Interestingly this vase came with a bespoke box, signed, and so it is possibly a special artist piece.
A similar shaped vase from Multi Glass is here:

Wow Karen!! What a BEAUTY this is!!
Gorgeous vase, both in shape and color blend. Karen, your knowledge of the intricacies of glass making astounds me, I love your item descriptions but this complex one is especially fascinating, thank you for the info
Thanks so much Scott. It's a BIG beauty!
Jenni I can always rely on your comments to be feel good ones. Thanks.
I know little about glass really, it is such a huge subject, but I'm happy to think you think I know stuff lol!
I like this vase too....
I am amazed how your collection has changed big time from say 4 or 5 years ago, all the time surprising me. Gorgeous designer glass !~
I'll always have a soft spot for this style of vase. probably because the wings can look so different from different angles. Not to mention that it must take much strength and real skill to create such a large piece!
Wow, a monster of a vase. Beautiful art glass.
