Here are the other two vases my sister brought in from New Jersey this past weekend. The yellow one has a hexagonal shape with gold dragon handles. I believe it's termed "Famille Rose" with a yellow ground. The green and blue vase struck me as unusual since it's not typical blue and white. The cobalt design is actually recessed below the green background and appears to be hand painted. The mark on the yellow vase I know is Chinese Qianlong, but I'm not sure about the green vase. That mark looks like a Kangxi mark to me but I could be wrong. I'm basing that on what I've seen on the above mentioned site as well. They are both large and heavy at 17" for the yellow one and 18" for the green one. I'm partial to the yellow one because of the shape and design but they are both keepers in my opinion. Thanks again Sis ! -Mike-
Thanks for the "love" and compliment Thomas. :)
BEAUTIFUL vases Mike!! Your sister is incredibly generous!!
Thanks Scott....she spoils me to say the least but they where real bargains ! :)
Nice to see that she has good taste like her brother. I wish I could teach my sister something !~
Thanks Phil...yes she knows what I like. Then again it's easy when you both like the same things. :)
The vases look like Chinese antique vases........
Thanks treasureman for the "love" and the info. They very well could be worth having an expert look at them.
