Hello everyone!!!
Here's my Uncle Wiggily's Adventures comic book that was published by Better Little Books in 1946. This is the only Better Little Book that I have in my collection. It's in very fine condition for a 72 year old book.
These began in 1932 as "Big Little Book" and had a name change to "Better Little Book" in 1938. As you can see on the back cover, Better Little Books were available in multiple titles and continued into the 1960's. Oh, and they were originally priced at 10¢ each and later on became 15¢.
I actually have a couple of Big Little Books from 1975 that I've had since I was kid. Those particular books are flip books. When you'd flip thru the pages, a small cartoon, in the upper right hand corner of each page, comes to life. Those still have the 49¢ price on the covers.
Thanks very much for stopping in!!!!!

Looks like a sweet story. Did Uncle Wiggily have a lot of mishaps? The film My Foolish Heart with Susan Hayward was based on a Salinger short story about Uncle Wiggily, she injured her leg & her friend said "poor Uncle Wiggily", so I wondered
Hi Jenni!!
I couldn't begin to count the number Uncle Wiggily stories there are. Yes he had many, many mishaps. Always getting into one thing or another. He had chronic rheumatism and that's why he always carried a crutch.
Hi Mary,
Uncle Wiggily Longears was created by Howard R. Garis in 1910 and resulted in a long history of many, many Uncle Wiggily books, board games, puzzles and tin toys among other items. A very lovable character he was. I have many of the Uncle Wiggily books in my collection, as well as an original 1916 Milton-Bradley Uncle Wiggily board game and even a couple of Uncle Wiggily Longears lamps. I guess you could say I'm a huge Uncle Wiggily Longears fan:)

Ms. CrystalShip,
Thanks for the kind comment. I have 1916 edition of the game and I wonder what it would have cost in 1916?
Thanks so very much for the loves!!

I'd like to have this book.
Hi Geneva!
I’ve seen several of these on eBay and Etsy. You may be able to find one in this condition on either of those sites.
