My parents picked this bike up someplace and I was hoping to get it's value and perhaps some insight as to the age and such.

Thanks a bunch, I had never noticed the thumb screw or the battery holder before. Looks like she started life a gold color. Top half of the light and horn are missing but both kick-stands are there.
Here's a link to a Colson Commander. Your "Roadking" was made by Colson but sold through either a hardware store or dept. store and badged as their product. I have a Colson made "Goodyear" bicycle posted here if you'd like to look at it....
