My parents picked this bike up someplace and I was hoping to get it's value and perhaps some insight as to the age and such.

Check out Colson Commander. Sweet, sweet, bike. 37 ish.
Thanks a bunch, I had never noticed the thumb screw or the battery holder before. Looks like she started life a gold color. Top half of the light and horn are missing but both kick-stands are there.
Here's a link to a Colson Commander. Your "Roadking" was made by Colson but sold through either a hardware store or dept. store and badged as their product. I have a Colson made "Goodyear" bicycle posted here if you'd like to look at it.... Very nice rare pre-war bicycle! http://www.prices4antiques.com/transportation/bicycles-motorcycles/Bicycle-Colson-Commander-Male-Frame-1936-D9998824.htm
Thanks. These things are pretty tough to find info on. I am glad I stumbled on this site with all of you that have seen and or delt with them.
Good looking bike, the two-tone paint really makes it pop.
That is a cool bike any chance it would be for sale. Thanks
Very nice,,,where is it now? Love the frame design.
