Latest project. Before and after pics, this was first attempt at restoring something in this bad of shape and patch repairing veneer. I think it came out pretty decent.

I think it turned out beautifully -- GREAT WORK!! (obviously many hours worth of that?!!) Your veneer repairs are incredible -- what kind of final finish did you use on it?
I would say it's 10-20 years newer than the '20s. I have an extremely similar piece from 1940ish. But, yes, it looks worlds better. A nice statement piece for sure.
Thank you. Finish was done with an oil based polyurethane @ anything. That is possible bear, I know the Art Deco was popular in early-mid 1900s. I did not date it myself but the person I bought it from had it in his family for a long time, and said it was from 1920's. It was his father's, I did not ask if they were original owners but I believe they were. But 1920s-1940s I'm definitely not a specialist on the subject lol. Wishing more and more I was though.
Fine work you do !!
Thank you Phil
beautiful work. do you know what metal the pulls are made of. I have the same pulls on a piece I posted today
