A very nice Post-War Battle Dress Blouse to the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. The BD is in very nice condition for it's age. To its left arm it sports rank chevrons with gold lacing, under a Queen's Crown over, both insignia in black, indicating the rank of Staff Sergeant, or in this case, Band Staff Sergeant. Nice original green Royal Winnipeg Rifles shoulder titles to each arm, right arm only has a title and no insignia. Each shoulder is held in place by a black Little Black Devil Regimental button. Interior in good condition, not named but is dated August 1947, a nice late '40s date. As the rank insignia has Queen's Crowns it was either issued post 1953 or the original King's Crown insignia was replaced when Queen Elizabeth II took the throne.
Overall a fantastic post-war BD to the Royal Winnipeg Rifles.
There is something with the design details of this that makes it look very serious and yet fashionable? Perhaps my favourite in the olive colour. Great pictures too Jamie.
Excellent uniform. Looks like an Ike jacket.
Thank you Roy for your nice comment as always, it's one of my favorites as well.
