      A mid-century copy for key-chains-- or at least that' how my great grandfather's dollar was. It was done in the same style, but one side was a Morgan dollar. The other side said he was in the insurance policy for the company he worked at, or something like that. His was 1940s-1950s. There would have been a little loop soldered on top, but it was probably broken off for display. Yours would, also, have been gold-plated when new.
