I don't have a lot of pressed glass in my collection, but I could not walk past this charming little Victorian vase by Sowerby when I spied it in an op shop last year. It measures 11 cm tall, 7 cm across the top rim, & 5 cm across the base. It is marked underneath with Sowerby's peacock head mark.

Many thanks MALKEY, thought you would enjoy this one as I know you have posted some very nice Sowerby pieces. It is definitely the most elegantly designed pressed glass, isn't it? I also have a nice piece by Burtes & Tate - a wall pocket, which I'll have to post someday...

Thank you most kindly, MALKEY, that is so nice of you to say. I am glad you enjoy my posts...I am a passionate collector from way, way back. Beautiful things make life worth living. Will definitely get my Burtles & Tate wall pocket posted next week sometime...very busy in the next few days with hanging an exhibition of my artworks but as soon as that's done the wall pocket will will be there for your enjoyment.
