I believe this shape is called 'Jack in the Pulpit' a plant - real name Arisaema triphyllum (okay I looked up the real name).
This one has a really neat shape at the top, and a great colour and size. There's no pontil mark, and I can't see an etched signature on the base. It could be mid-century-modern; more likely an art class piece. Murano? Japanese?
Thank you. I did find one similar that was labeled Jack in the Pulpit. This gives me something to go by. I doubt it's Murano. Will continue my search. Appreciate it!
Often mistaken for Murano, this type of swirled glass is correctly identified as Ozark, "Arklahoma", and/or Sooner glass. This particular jjack-in-the-pulpit vase was, judging by the colors and lip shape, most likely made by Becraft Glass of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Wow, thanks, artfoot. That makes sense considering my location.
Glad I could help.
Kudos artfoot. Is the size of PearlGlasses vase unusual?
8.5 inches is on the tall end for these Ozark vases but they are quite variable.
