The wooden item is a 'pestle' for an old conical food press/strainer like those seen here:

Funny coincidence that, just a couple weeks ago, I helped a local Goodwill store reunite a pair -- they had the aluminum strainer (together with its rack) in the back of the store on the 'pots and pans' shelf, but the wooden part in the display case by the cash register. As I was pointing out/explaining to the clerk that the two things actually belonged together, two random ladies who had also been standing in line overheard me and piped up in agreement. As I left, the clerk had already grabbed the wood thing out of the display case, and was heading across the store to retrieve the strainer... <lol>
The large teeth on that saw is a cross cut type pattern. The smaller teeth to get the cut started perhaps. Do no recall seeing a dual tooth set up on a saw before.
