A broken Zuid Holland Gouda pottery vase. The integrity of the shape of this vase remains. But, as you can see, there are numerous serious breaks, chips, and faults, to this lovely vase. The prior owner attempted to fix it by gluing the broken rim. Sadly, the "fix" was not a very good repair job.
I found this lovely vase with its gorgeous pattern at a recent estate sale. The sale did point out the damage. I got to the sale on the last day in the last hours. This vase had been listed for $20, and then for half off for the last day of the sale. I was considering the $10, because I was so attracted to the beauty of the vase, despite the visible damage. Before I decided, the managers of the sale announced a make a pile and make a reasonable offer for it for the remaining minutes of the sale. So, I ended up getting this vase for $5. I think it was well worth it.
It is 7 and 1/4 inches tall by 7 and 1/4 inches wide at the rim, and, 10 plus inches wide at it widest roundest point.
The vase is beautiful despite its damage.

I think before 1920 looking at the mark Poire. It's a stunning piece, and I love the stilt marks on the base!

Worthit2, what internet browser do you use? This site isn’t supported anymore by Internet Explorer, so while you might still be able to see posts and make comments, the love and like buttons and other functions don’t work. The site work in Google Chrome and Apple Safari, among others. Good luck!
