Hello everyone!!
Here's another of my Pierre Chenet bronze hare sculpture. I've always loved his pose. This one also has the unmistakable Pierre Chenet crown signature on the bottom. He is solid bronze and measures just under 6" tall and 3 1/2" front to back. Pierre Chenet bronze sculptures were especially popular during the first half of the 20th century. I have only four Pierre Chenet sculptures in my collection.
Pierre CHENET is an artist from northern France who creates magnificent sculptures since the early 1970s.
He uses his own technique, known as "acid patina" which gives his bronzes a unique colour. Each sculpture is unique by its colour.
The bronze is stamped with the crown of his own foundry.
Thank you all for taking time to stop by!!!

What a treasure! A gorgeous hare!
Thank you Laura!! I hope you guys are staying safe and warm up there!!
He's so adorable, his pose is almost like a pup begging - this artist Cheney made such lovely bronze hares
Aw, he is wonderful Scott! I really need to start looking for some animals like you have! They are all so great, I love them!! :-)
Thank you Jenni!! Yes, I too love his pose. Pierre Chenet produced some very realistic sculptures. Wish I had more in my collection, but the budget just doesn't allow it:)
Thank you Judy!! Some might say I have far too many in my collection. But, my view on that is, to a collector, there is no such thing as having too many:)
I can't keep up - they're all so beautiful Scott. Can you get a photo of all of them together? Maybe you don't have a place to show them all at once!
Thank you Gillian!! There are so many scattered about that I wouldn't know where to begin on getting them all together for a photo. Perhaps I will one day.
Thanks, Scott. We're safe and warm, but I am soooooooo tired of this looooonnnngggg winter.
Laura,
Our winters in Kentucky are far from the winters that you guys experience. You guys need to move a bit further south:)
We do! We moved her from MS 12 years ago this fall, and I'm from Florida originally. Kentucky sounds perfect. The worst part of the winters for me, I think, is the darkness at 430 when winter's just begun and the dreary, grey days. Almost everyone I know takes Vitamin D3 supplements because of lack of sunshine.
I almost took a position at one of our plants in Auburn, NY back in the mid 90's. Though the finger lakes are beautiful, they couldn't match the beauty of the Bluegrass State.
Thank you all so very much for the loves, for the comments and for stopping by!!!
