Hello everyone!!
Believe it or not, I probably have as many dogs in my collection as I do rabbits and hares. So, just to shake things up a bit, here's my enamel painted bronze Yorkshire "Yorkie" terrier sculpture. The original was sculpted during the 19th century by French animalier sculptor Jules Moigniez. Jules Moigniez lived from 1835 to 1874. This bronze Yorkie sculpture is so incredibly detailed, right down to his well defined eyes and toenails, and it is life sized. It measures 14" tall and 15" long and weighs about 15 lbs. I keep this one indoors. I love this little bronze Yorkie sculpture and I hope you do as well.

OMG ! Dogs as well. We had a Yorkie when I was young. These things come heavy don't they?
Yes Gillian, I probably have as many dogs as I do rabbits and hares. I love Yorkies, but we've always had Dachshunds. Had a Dalmation when I was a child. I remember that Dalmation was completely deaf, but one of the smartest dogs I've owned.

He's certainly very cute and realistic Scott.
I am guessing this is a later production, and if so who cast it? Was it a French company?
Thanks Karen!! This is a recent casting and I'm not truly sure if it was cast in France or here in the states. I have a few others that were cast somewhere in the state of Virginia.
