The first one looks like inuit sculpture, are you from Canada ?? A location is just a few questions one must ponder ?
First one is Inuit Soapstone sculpture.
No, not Inuit, although I can see why that might be thought, based on the. photo. To someone who has seen hundreds of similar bird dishes, however, it's instantly identified as traditional black pottery from Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico. . They were popular designs in the mid-20th century. Just do a web search for "Santa Clara black pottery bird dish" if you want to confirm. San Ildefonso Pueblo also made them, but their black birds usually were black-on-black, with matte black designs. The carved-in designs are more typical of Santa Clara.
The middle two are bannerstones. The authentic ones date to around 1000 to 4000 BC, and are from the eastern part of the U.S. Whether these are authenic, or more recent copies (which are far more common) really can't be determined from a photo.
The same can be said of the last pot. It's Mississippian Quapaw pottery in style, from Arkansas, but would need an expert on Quapaw pottery to accurately determine the age.
As always, CanyonRoad is on the money :) As to value, we are not allowed to talk about selling or how much. You need to find an outside appraiser for that. As to those two bannerstones in the middle, I also thinking that they are reproductions. They are too new looking, with no chips or anything to show they were actually used.
oh my gosh everybody THANK YOU ALL FOR WEIGHING IN, i didnt get a email notice that anybody even posted on here and PhilDMorris nope, USA ! @CanyonRoad do u ever do appraisals? or you guys know anybody HONEST,
If you notice at the top of the page, there is a link that says Appraisal, see if that suits you. :)
Nice ID work as always, CanyonRoad. If I were CW Admin, I'd put a gold star by your name. :)
