This pipe was made in early 1980, by a Lakota Sioux Native American. My Mother bought it and gifted it to me. It is beautiful, the wood part is 1o inches long. It has Bear paw designs burned into the wood, and also has the maker's mark. There is Sinew wrapped around the tip to help the Pipestone pipe fit better, to make sure the smoke draw is good. It needs to be replaced again but I have a roll of Sinew to do that. I do not use real Sinew, but it came wrapped with it when I first got it. This is made really well and has stood the test of time. I get a blend of sweet tobaccos and it tastes and smells wonderful. It relaxes me and I meditate while smoking, it is a time to let go of problems and stress. I still smoke my pipe at least once a month, even though I quit smoking cigarettes in November of 2012. I feel it is a part of my life, it is not the same thing as a cigarette to me. It is part of who I am and my relatives who went through alot of real hardships just to stay alive. I would not be here had they not endured and I smoke to remember and respect them.
Enjoy the Pics :)
