I have so far found no history of Yanagawa Glassworks, but looking at this vase I believe it is a pre WW2 production, possibly even before WW1.
Yanagawa is a region in Fukuoka prefecture, but I have found no link to Fukuoka Glass (FTG). FTG was established in Fukuoka City and there may be a crossover, but my FTG history research makes no mention of it.
Looking at the sticker I think that T.Yanagawa is a person's name, and so this could actually have nothing to do with Yanagawa the place.
I need to search Japan's trade mark history for more info.

This is a simple, thin walled vase with small engraved leaves and a golden, metallic coating. The sticker is paper, and I think the company logo is so charming with the dog and it's name tag TY.

lovely piece of glass : ) tho' form reminds me of a tumble up carafe rather than a vase.

Beautiful! I've learned a lot about Japanese glass from you! When I think of Japanese wares, I mainly think of porcelain. I really had not given a thought to their glasswares. Just lovely! Reminds me of carnival glass, too.

Is there any type of glass the Japanese didn't make? This looks to have an 'iris' finish......

Jenni the label is very cute, and although a simple piece it's interesting glass. Thanks as usual!

The label was the purpose of the purchase really Mike. Without it, I would not have even looked twice. Thanks mate!

Phil, I hope so too, and thanks for the support!

You are correct of course Sir TallCakes, it is more likely a carafe. Artfoot's link shows a glass which looks part of the set. Thanks for the clarification.

Peggy they have done nearly all of it, some as direct copies. Is Iris a finish specific to some country, or like marigold finish? Thanks.

It is very much in the carnival glass realm Laura. Thanks for the love and comment

Today I found 5 short glasses in my great grandfathers cupboard and they look exactly like the vase and one of the glasses has the same sticker
