Presented for your Hot Wheels Wednesday enjoyment are a pair of Indy EAGLES. Eagle is spelled in all caps on the base so let it be known I am not shouting.
The Indy Eagle (yes I know) was made from 1969-1971 in 10 different colors, I think the only valuable one is pink. This is a fairly common car and is worth about $25. That is relatively cheap for Hot Wheels Redlines.
One thing that seemed to be important to Mattel was that it couldn't go through the supercharger. The Supercharger was this little building the cars would go through that had a pair of spinning wheels that kept the cars going around the track. These cars would get their axles bent if they went through the supercharger.
There are variations that rare but I don't want to go into that. Collecting is not about finding the item worth thousands or the big home run. It is about enjoying the item for what it is.
Well, they might not be pink, but these are so VERY cool!! I love all your Hot Wheels.
Fantastic racing cars
I feel like I might want to start collecting Hot Wheels and Matchbox. What fun!

Thank you mikelv85.
Fortapache if you find one of these with a clear windshield or plastic fuel tanks on the sides, then you've found a very rare prototype. Some of these had silver or black painted bases instead of bare metal, and are worth slightly more than normal versions. If you find one that is chrome then you have found an ever rarer prototype.
Thank you very much McCoyNelson. Will keep those in mind. It isn't easy to find that sort of stuff but not impossible.
Thank you antiquerose.
