I have to limit my collection because of what a friend calls "bear creep." There's only so much room and only so many bears one can have in one's house before another house is needed just for the bears! Seriously, my bears are contained in one area (mostly) as I like to display them together, and my self-imposed limitation is that the bear(s) must be at least vintage. However, the same friend who coined the term "bear creep" also owns the local consignment shop, and he texted me the other day to show me these Sofia Batalova handmade bears. How could I resist? They are the first artist bears I've owned other than the ones I've made. They're incredibly well-made, jointed five ways, and have a nice weight to them. Hope you enjoy them.

They're absolutely wonderful Laura!! Personally, I don't think there's such a thing a "Too Many" when it comes to collecting.
Thanks so much, Scott. I know who to turn to if I feel as if I have too many of one thing-- the man with the rabbits! :) You instantly make me feel better. :)
Thank you for the love, Adele.
Laura, i love your adorable posts! I can sooo relate to a problem of a lack of space vs. wanting to get more of your favorite thing. Of course you had to get all 3 of them! =) I have my room where I try to contain my treasures, but the space is filling up faster than i can free it up by selling off other stuff. I looked up Batalova, and her creations are absolutely the cutest and irresistible. I love how she puts her bears for "adoption" (instead of "selling"). That reminds me of another artist I admire, Ruth, the creator of Hazel Twigg website and Once Loved Doll registry:
http://hazeltwigg.com/blog/theoldregistry/ I think you'll like it =)
Love this bear trio Laura, completely adorable, sitting there together on the pretty little sofa they look perfectly content & definitely related (two sisters & a brother?) The hat & hair ribbon on the girls are so sweet. For the collector, we can never have too many or say "enough" :)
Anna, thank you so much for your nice comments. I am going to look up Ruth/Hazel Twigg as I've not seen her work. Thank you for the link. I, too, love how Batalova has her creations up for adoption rather than for sale. It is more meaningful.
Jenni, thanks so much. I am so glad you love the bears. I like the idea of the two sisters and brother. Now, to find their parents. ;)
Ken, thank you so much for the kind compliment and comments. So glad you like my new bears!
Thanks so much for the love, Judy, Karen, Roy, and fortapache!
I think I may have a bit of creep going myself. Time to fix up the shed out back.
Awww, they are so precious!
Laura... sure when you collect, you have to get as many as you can ;-))
Fortapache, the shed out back??? Bring it all inside!
Thank you for the love, Pascale and T. I am so glad you like my new trio, Pascale. Yes, you are right. Must get as many as I can! ;)
Thank you for the love, Sean and Phil.
