This is one of my older pieces of Wedgwood Jasperware. It is a jar (not sure what it's for) and is in dipped green, ie it is white, then dipped in green to colour it, not solid green like the more modern pieces. It is decorated with lovely floral swags, and has 4 different designs under each swag. The inside of the jar is glazed. - I just remembered I have a new book on Wedgwood by Michael Herman, and I have found a blue version of this jar, dated 1890 and named as a Tobacco Jar! It does have a chunk off the rim, but hey it's over 100 years old, and I don't mind a bit of damage.
beautifully dressed piece with classic ram ,,, dynamic !!!!!!!!
