Hello CW! I had this "Butter dish set", then my Cat, who is a indoor cat knocked it over.....he almost became an outdoor cat!!! Here is a picture of the culprit too. LOL! Anyway, I believe it is depression glassware and think it is a butter dish be because it fits an 8 oz package of Cream Cheese inside the oval bottom. Of course I have to cut off the squared edges for it to fit inside the oval bottom. It is/was one of my favorite pieces, I have the lid and I am looking for a replacement bottom or another set.
I've contacted Replacements Ltd. They could not help me, they didn't even know the pattern name. Does anyone out there know anything about this set and can you pass on any info you have?
It's pretty!
I hope Sir TallCakes sees your post, he knows everything almost, and what he doesn't know is not worth knowing :)
Thanks Racer4Four! I hope someone can help me out. I really want to replace it.
the panel rib motif is very similar to Anchor Hocking 'Colonial' 'Knife & Fork'; so perhaps made as a go-with for that pattern. Haven't seen an exact match for this one tho'.
@TallCakes. I found these two on eBay similar but not the same. I’ll look at the Anchor Hocking patterns you provided on Replacements, Ltd They were $15.00 I figured they were a pretty good price. Thanks so much for your input.
found one old eBay listing that come up on Google listing these as WMF
