I don't know much about this piece the most I could gather was it could be a ginger jar. They seem to be highly collectible or at least at one time they were. So much so that they were mass produced in Europe if my memory is right. In my very unprofessional opinion nothing about it says Asian but please correct me if I'm wrong.
The painting around the middle feels like it's under the enamel and doesn't appear to be hand painted but the ring of Rose's around the top and bottom has a frosted feel to it and in my opinion is hand painted. Any insight into this piece would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you I've always liked that shade of Blue. Sadly it has a chip at the very top and looks like the lid has been glued back together I still think it's beautiful. Unfortunately there isn't a makers Mark so I have no clue how to identify it.
