About two years ago, I received and posted photos of this vase to my website at ImperialArtGlass.com. A few days ago I saw it for sale on eBay and purchased it. It's a blue mirror glaze Imperial Free Hand example, FH#200. It's 10.5 inches tall. The mirror glaze enhances the simple, classic form.

The cobalt is amazing, not sure I understand the mirror glaze as it looks completely different, but so beautiful !~

Phil, the light is bouncing off the vase in the 2nd photo and through the vase in the 1st. The vase is cobalt blue AND has a thin "lustre" coating.

That cobalt really is glorious here !~

The vase is elegant and the "lustre" coating has transformed the cobalt glass. I'm in love with image two!

Is what you call 'a thin "lustre" coating' an American term for an iridescent finish? The effect looks very similar.

sklo42 Yes, a spray of metallic salts applied when the vase is still hot.
