I found this ring at a Christmas bazaar. I came a bit late and didn't expect anything good to be left there because all the "treasure hunters" were already on their way out. I picked up a few pieces; nothing special, and then I saw the ring. I thought it was a costume ring because of the bright red stone and the price. I decided to take my chances. When I got home, I realized that ring was gold and very well made! Too bad I don't know what the stone is. It could be glass, synthetic, or whatever.... I just don't know.
Thanks for looking:)
Beautiful, love it. Has that 60's setting style that Black alaskan diamonds had. Is this a Ruby ??
Thanks for your comment, antiquerose. I really don't know what it is. I think it is too big to be a natural ruby. I love the colour and the style but I usually wear only silver. I just could not resist.
Gorgeous, possibly a garnet from the deep red color. The long marquise shape & setting are really lovely - nice find
Thanks so much for your kind comment, Newfld:) I will check out your tip.
