IronLace
(927 items)
This Victorian vase is made from off - white, almost pale grey opaque glass, with a pale pink lining. It measures 24.5 cm tall, 13.5 cm across the double crimped top rim, & 8.5 cm across the base, which has a rough, snapped pontil mark. The vase features hand - painted decoration of flowers & leaves.
A bargain op shop find.
Most likely of Bohemian origin. I own a number of Victorian hand vases that have the same colour combination & crimp style, so probably by the same maker.
Striking.....for something so delicate!

PostCardCollector, thanks so much & it's a great colour scheme, isn't it, so restful & nostalgic.
Thanks also, racer...I'm always up for some cheap frills... :-)
