Image one shows a 'job lot' of Victorian vases I once bought. The central one was posted here because it's Welz and was the only reason I'd bought the group. The other two were dumped in the garage......but as the garage is large they were not disposed of! Then I came across the same shape in the often seen Welz décor of white spatter on a yellow ground which set me thinking! So the pink ones were rescued from the garage cemetary and all three now reside with fellows!
Height 12cm./4.75 inches
lovely soft tones of pink wrapped surround on warm cosy night
delicate we are
then sulphur zing what else you may bring
to take our blues away
smashing just smashing peggy !!!!!!!
Thank you Malkey, so kind of you to trouble to comment. Glass can be a great distraction :)
Lovely job lot! Would have been happy to score these...
Chance plays such a large part in glass collecting. A week or two earlier and I probably wouldn't have bought them at all, but then I saw the taller one in a known Welz décor, which gave me an ID for it. Then months later to find the shape of the small pink pair in a very common Welz décor was more surprising still!
Im so glad you werd ablle to identify them, and still had them.
Similar has happened to me Peggy, so I keep stuff too until I know more. Problem is, my house is full of it!
lol, my house too.....
Love those sort of surprise attributions Peggy! Really lovely ‘job lot trio’ too!
What a beautiful display! So delicate and lovely!!!
Me too, Lesley, particularly as it can be hard to id plain colour Welz, and often it happens just by chance!
You are so generous, shareurpassion, and it's much appreciated.
I read 'garage' as garbage & thought Noooo Why?! But I see they're all safe and back inside. Well done identifying them! I haven't come across pink vases like this before, only the more common yellow.
